After our video-performance ACANTHESTHESIA was rewarded with the Co-Production Prize in July 2012, we were asked to lead a "Praxisseminar" - entitled "Introduction to Performance Art through the Notion of Limits" -, at the Department of Theatre and Media Studies of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg, in Germany.
Almost all of the students who joined had never heard of Performance Art nor performed before. However, nearly all of them decided to get involved in the NO LIMITS Project, which was presented during the 23rd International Week of young Theatre - ARENA... of the young Arts, in June 2013.

to last year’s language
And next year’s words
await another voice.
And to make an end
is to make a beginning.”

"When I signed up for the seminar with RED BIND, I knew next to nothing about performance art.
I didn’t know what I was expecting to learn but in the end all expectations were shredded to pieces.
Barbara and Gil taught us much more than any book or any professor ever could.
They didn’t only explain performance art, they showed us, they let us live and breathe performance art.
They let us into their lives, patiently answering any question and responding to each of our individual thoughts, worries and feelings.
I don’t feel like I’ve met two teachers. I feel like I’ve met two wonderful women who taught me about the history of performance art, about the different kinds of it, about performing myself and about finding the strength to combine all those into my life.
RED BIND’s seminar was without doubt the best class I ever signed up for and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
The environment Gil and Barbara create isn’t comparable to any other class.
I’d wish more teachers were as open-minded and open-hearted as them."
