RED-EYE WALK is meant to be a meeting with the public, an encounter in the shape of a disturbance.
This performance was created in a desire for immediate gathering of the emotions and sensations of the public, for instant feedback on the impact that can be generated by the work. For us, it’s a matter of intervening in the here and now of the viewer.
The band plays traditional processional music, while we are slowly walking, weapons of light in hand, hindered mouths and masked faces.
Our action is a kind of mirage, a sensitive parenthesis, a suspension of time. It is built as a passage, a gentle hostage taking of the spectators which we incite to become witnesses and actors.
RED-EYE WALK se veut être une rencontre avec le public, une rencontre en forme de perturbation.
Cette performance a été créée dans une volonté de collecte immédiate des émotions et sensations du public, d’un retour instantané sur l’impact que l’œuvre peut générer. Il s’agit pour nous d’intervenir dans l’ici et maintenant du spectateur.
L’orchestre joue de la musique processionnelle traditionnelle, alors que nous déambulons lentement, armes de lumière au poing, bouches entravées et visages masqués.
Notre action est une sorte de mirage, une parenthèse sensible, une suspension du temps. Elle se construit comme un passage, une douce prise en otage des spectateurs que nous incitons à devenir témoins et acteurs.
